Hotel Furstenhof
2:37 a.m.

Good Morning!
So I’m getting ready to check out of my hotel for the day and head over to IES (Institute for European Studies) our homebase. Last night I went down the street with the other Maymester students and we got Frankfurters from a stand. It was really neat because the bun was an actual oblong roll, not like an American bun, and they “spear” the end of it on this long spike like thing and then squirt your condiments down the long hole and stick in the frankfurter. I’m going to have to learn very quickly how not to be picky since I can’t say in German what I don’t want on there. It will be very frustrating until I learn. No more “When Harry Met Sally” ordering for me in Vienna.
I’ll probably add to this entry later. Nowhere has air conditioning, which is fine for the moment because you don’t need it.

Interesting idea on the frankfurter roll...so when you're eating it, the condiments don't spill out of the side of the bun and onto your shirt. Hmmm. I wonder if anyone has marketed that spear here? Have fun today!

Elaine, yummo on the frankfurter! I just arrived in Indy last night and Rita Jo has a computer now! I'm so excited to get to read all your blogs now anytime I want. Wish I could be there!

hallo! first to comment. yesss. ^-^;; frankfurter-wise, you can always try pointing to condiments and forming an X with your two arms. HAHA. you've seen me do this before, yes? :) for a less conspicuous "no, thanks" you can use your two pointer fingers. haha.

today is mcneil's graduation. 3pm. crazy, huh? it makes me reminisce and think about where i was a year ago...& it makes me picture where i'll be a year from now. 0_o [bewildered eyes] haha. now i'm in an asian emoticon mood.

-_-;;; [annoyed eyes]

Elaine NOT ordering like Sally Albright? It will never happen. "I'll have the frankfurter but hold the mustard. Put the ketchup on the side but only if the frankfurter isn't well done. If it's well done, then put the ketchup on the roll." You'd better keep these posts coming, Baby Girl. Your Mama is living for them!

Aunt Mary said she feels like you are the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld because you censor our comments. She's afraid you will say ~ No comments for YOU, Aunt Mary!
